Third Graduation Ceremony of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata



Kolkata - 26/01 (Nayagarh Khabar)- Report-Sanatan Mahakud- Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata (HITK) organized the Third Graduation Ceremony 2020 on 25th January at the HITK
campus in the Main Auditorium. The ceremony was addressed by Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, as the Chief Guest followed by Swami Suparnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, The Ramkrishna Mission Institute of
Culture, Golpark and Padma Shri Prof. Ajoy Kr. Ray, Former Director, IIEST, Shibpur as the Guests of Honour. The Graduation Ceremony also witnessed
the presence of Shri H.K.Chaudhary, Chairman, Heritage Group of Institutions, Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Secretary, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri H.P.Budhia, Chairman, Heritage Business School, Shri P.R.Agarwala, Chairman, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, Shri S.C Bansal, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust and Shri Sandeep Shah, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Prof. Pranay Chaudhuri, Principal, HITK and Shri P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions amongst the others. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.

The day also consisted of a tree plantation drive where Prof. Sahasrabudhe, Prof. Ajoy Kr. Ray, Swami Suparnanandaji and Prof. Saikat Maitra each planted a tree to mark this glorious moment of the 3rd Graduation Ceremony at HITK campus.

During the inaugural address, Prof. Sahasrabudhe spoke about the finest research labs which HITK has in its campus and also motivated the Graduands to contribute towards nation building while joining the Industry and Research Institutes. He also spoke about the recently launched Certificate Course for Teachers in the entry level by the AICTE to equip the faculty members in a better way while delivering classroom lectures to the students.

Prof. Saikat Maitra stressed on the recent advances in science and technology thus motivating the young graduands (those who will be graduating) to focus on their passions and encouraged them to think out of the box. Swami Suparnanandaji spo


ke about the real essence of education which the graduands should not forget in the long run thus enriching them with spirituality. Padma Shri Prof. Ajoy Kr. Ray also touched upon some of the latest developments in science and technology thus making the graduands aware of the wide spectrum of knowledge available to them for a better career. The event also witnessed the launching of the Third Graduation Ceremony brochure officially.

More than 500 graduands got their degrees awarded by the Institute from distinguished guests which will be cherished by them throughout their lives.
